Art Deco black glass pilot cigar ashtray

BOTH SOLD Magnificent huge ashtray in heavy black glass.

Perfect for the party boat, seashore or home decor!  Vintage Viking Art Glass made in the 1940s to 1950s.  Largest of this line, Viking catalog part no. 773.  Viking called this style "Pilot". Viking was referring to the nautical type pilot since this ashtray resembles a ship's wheel.   TWO are available - select quantity at checkout. HUGE. Bowl measures 8" wide, 10" wide from rest to rest, and 2.25" tall.  Weighs 3.5 lbs. In great condition.  Bright and shiny opaque black glass. Epected and normal "bottom wear" caused by years of sitting around (only visible when upside-down). Slight scratch in the center bowl of one. Hard to find!  Scarce item. Fabulous relic from the days of rapid modernization.
