Art Nouveau Pewter Multi Hidden Ashtrays

• Probably made in the Arts & Crafts / Art Nouveau era, in the early 1900's. Styling is consistent with decorative arts from both eras.
• Made of molded solid soft metal (no plating), looks and feels like pewter and probably is.  Shows signs of tool handcrafting completing the form. Finished with a black shadow decor.  Very detailed.
• Marked (hand stamped) "Patent Pending" on the underside of the foliage base.  Also stamped beneath the leaf is the letter "E".
• The six petals of the flower remove easily, and when flipped over become single rest individual ashtrays.
• The stamin is made of pot metal, painted gold.  The paint is in great dulled condition. Comes apart in sections for easy cleaning.
• Large, measures 10.5" long, 5.5" at tallest and 8" at widest. Each petal ashtray is 4" long.  Sitting next to a full-sized decanter in image 1.
• Great for parties.  The petals are individual ashtrays with one small rest each.  Pass out a petal when your passing out the smokes!
