Bluenique Crackle Glass Ashtray by Viking Art Glass

This awesome cigar bowl was made in the 1950s-1960s by  Viking Art Glass.  The color is Viking's famous "Bluenique", a stunning rich blue.  Read more about Viking Art Glass.    This was made by hand, then dipped in cool water to achieve the fine crackle.  It has a polished bottom-rim (see image 3).  Glass is perfect and clean.  Big - Measures 7.5" wide and 2.75" tall, weighs 3 lbs.   This ashtray form is exceptional for cigar aficionados.  The rests are wide and flat, the size is large but not too large, and it is deep enough for efficient and tidy cigar service. It's also a fabulous eye-catcher. Retro Swedish-Modern styling.  Lovely centerpiece item, great candleholder (always remove metal parts on candle before using in vintage glass).
