         SOLD Handblown Art Glass Big Fish Cigar Bowl

This fabulous, big, deep art glass bowl has one ridged cigar rest for the big fish's cigar. The tip of the fish nose could also rest a cigar, but is not made to hold it in place as the ridged rest is. The fish nose is great for tapping and acts as a spout when emptying.

In great condition with no chips or cracks.  The center, deepest part of the bowl has minute burst air bubbles that can be felt.  These are a maker's miss (occurred during glass cooling process) Does not detract from its beauty.

The fish form was very popular in the mod mid-century years. Circa estimated 1950s-1960s. Still retains it's old label reading "Hand Made, Genuine Handblown" inside a crown with a Maltese Cross finial.  Label is unknown to us, believe it is of Bohemian origin, possibly German.

Beautiful white glass fading to a deep burgundy. Polished flat base.  The bowl tilts down slightly, done on purpose.  The cigar rests holds the cigar level.

Big, measures 11" long, 9" at widest point and 2.75" deep. Weighs 1.8 lbs.
