Vitrock Waterford Waffle 1940s Ashtray

SOLD    Sweet milk glass with pink enamel over 60 years old.

Made by Hocking Glass Company in 1938 to 1944.

In excellent condition. The enamel is as thick and bright as the day it was made.  Bottom-wear present, expected in old glass that has been sitting around for 60 years. Bottom-wear is the scuff marks on the seat caused by friction with surfaces.

Hocking called this pink color "dusty rose".  The Waterford Waffle line was produced in milk glass on ashtrays.  The dinnerware line was produced in clear crystal and in clear pink.

A bit small for cigars, but will hold them in place as you can see in image 2.

Measures 4" wide and 1" deep.

Nice vintage patio or party ashtray.  Good for incense too.
