Nipa Hut Mid-century Organic Ashtray

SOLD Unique vintage 1960s studio pottery.

Styled after Korean Nipa huts, this unique form was adopted by artists in the 1950s to early 1960s during the Korean conflict.

Hand-made, hand-finished ceramic with a light burnt orange iridescent mottled glaze and black speckled vertical white lines.

Tripod base has 3 little feet.  Unsigned.  Interior is glazed white (looks gray in images)

In excellent condition.  Rare form.

Perfect for the patio and/or retro organic style decor.

Measures 6.5" tall, 6" at widest with a girth of 18".
