Retro Vintage Decor Owl Ashtray

 SOLD  Hippie party ashtray for the night owls.

In the early 1970's everybody loved flowers, mushrooms and owls, among other things.

This BIG old owl looked lovely with the dark fake wood wall panels and numerous houseplants in the typical 1970's home.

Made by California originals, USA part no. G8 or 68.  Marked before firing on the seat.

It has been used at many a fine party.  There are no chips or cracks, the pottery is in excellent condition.  The wood-look brown glaze had some pinpoint wear that has been "touched-up" very well, but you can still see a minisucle point here and there if you look very closely.  The underside shows some wear, see the image.  In overall fine condition.

The stylistic owl decor is fabulous.  Look closely at image two...the owl is winking.

Measures 11.5" at longest, 6.5" at widest and 2" deep.  Has  9 cigarette sized rests.
