SOLD Awesome cranberry webbed geometric bullicante art glass.

The work of an Italian glass artist master.  The precise controlled bubbles, spiralling and diminishing in size to the center, create an absolute eye treat . This effect is very, very hard to do.

Cased within the colorless glass layers are precisely applied pink, cranberry stains causing a hallo around the bubbles and a faint pillow optic webbed effect.

Which master made it?  Sorry, no maker's mark, and we have not seen one like it before.  But to name a few possibilities;  Seguso, Venini, Toso, Salviati.

Room for two of whatever you smoke, both rests are thin, cigarette sized. Nice and deep to keep the mess in. Measures 6.75" long, 5.5" wide and is 2.25" tall.  Heavy, weighs 3 lbs.

In excellent condition.  Polished flat base has good bottom wear which is expected of heavy 1950 - 1960s vintage glass.  The colorless glass of this unique ashtray bowl glows bright yellow under blacklight, indicating the use of Manganese, appropriate for 1950s Italian glass.

Images 6, 8 & 9 include another ashtray with the same decor, available separately.  It has a slightly darker color. Clicking on image 9 will take you to the lighter colored ashtray's catalog page.

In image 9, a big and fabulous Murano pear sits in the center, it's there to help show color.  The vintage gold aventurine bullicante sommerso giant pear is available at www.retroartglass.com .
