Kosta Boda Glass Ice Castle Cigar Ashtray

Stunning space-age minimalist satin frosted crystal from Sweden.

The label dates this awesome Kosta fish bowl to the 1950s - 1960s   Bottom-wear is minimal.

Intact label reads "Kosta Boda Sweden Hand Made".

Dense clear, quality crystal.  The frosted finish was achieved by an acid wash.  The effect is a perfect eye treat...looks just like spage age ice.  It is semi-opaque which diffuses the light, making it appear to glow.

Measures 6" wide, 1.75" tall.  Very heavy, weighs 3.25 lbs.  In original condition with no chips or cracks.  A small whisp of silver was left by the maker on the inner upper rim.  It is a maker's miss and cannot be removed. Not noticeable, but curious since silver was never meant to be in the design.

Rare find.  Single large rest designed for big cigars and little smokes.
