Eames Era Gregorian Copper Ashtray

SOLD  Ultra-mod boomerang shaped ashtray in hammered copper.

Probably made in the mid 1940s.  Has two labels.  Solid copper, made in the U.S.A.

In great aged condition.  The metal has a combination of patina and cleaning smears giving it a very rustic look.  This item could be hand-polished/buffed  (no chemicals!) to blend the copper reactions.  Chemical copper cleaner could be used if the original copper finish was desired.  These pieces are more interesting with the patina left alone.

Beautiful party ashtray.  Doubles as an incense burner and/or candleholder.

Has four little rests on the applied copper rope in the center.  These can be bent to size.

No copper erosion.  Measures 12.5" long, 6.25" at widest and is 1" deep.
