Hand Formed Colorless Bubble Glass Ashtray

During the mid 20th century, elegant modern glass in the style of Venice adorned the well-appointed, modern homes.  Beautiful, hand worked glass from Italy was tremendously popular.

This ashtray dates from the mid 20th century.  It is not marked by the maker.  It may be of Italian origin, or it could be by Steuben, a company in America who made a line similiar to this.  The Scandivian countries produced glass art in "Facon de Venice" also.

Made of thick blown and hand-worked colorless glass with intentional trapped air bubbles.  Seat of base is polished flat.  Pontil mark is polished, round concave.  Quality item.

Weighs 1.5 lbs.  Measures 6.25" long, 4" wide and 1.75" tall.  Two large rests.
