Set of 3 depression glass apothecary canister jars. SOLD

Multiple uses for this set of three mold blown covered jars.  Work well as humidors (air-tight) for tobacco or herbs.  Perfect at the bar holding your favorite condiments.
Hollow daisey lids are hand-ground to fit the hand-ground necks (provides for air-tight fit).
Made in the 1940s, probably by L.E. Smith.  Hand-blown from a base mold, no seams. Rims are hand-finished.  Multiple swirling straw marks and some trapped air bubbles, a result of old cooling methods (the final cooling beds were often made of straw, hence the name "straw marks"), and usually found on Depression era glass.
All are in great condition.  Glass is translucent with no staining.  No chips or cracks.
Measure 6" tall with lid on.  Base is 4" wide.  Girth is 12.5" around.  Measurements vary slightly due to the hand-made process.
