Hand Made Crockery Tobacco Stash Jar

 Vintage hippie air-tight tobacco or herb jar.

This old crockery jar with tight fitting cork stopper is great for keeping dried herbs.  No light or air can get in while cork is in place.  The thick crock walls help keep temperature even.

This was hand-made sometime in the last 40 years or so.  Estimated circa 1960 - 1970.

Stripes of earth-toned mid-century colors alternate with a glossy and matte glaze.

In great condition with no chips or cracks.  Glaze and colors still vibrant.  Some bottom-wear, but very hard to see on whitish crock.  Cork is aged and a bit hardened, but still fits tight.  Measures 5.5" tall with cork in place with a 3.5" wide base.
