Set of very useful and handy mid-century art glass stackers. SOLD

These nifty ashtrays were made during the late 1950s during America's "Swedish Modern" craze.  We've seen these attributed to Fenton Art Glass, but we've also seen this shape from Swedish glass houses of the time.
They are well-made with thick apple-green slumped glass. In image 3, this green apple set sits next to a grass-green colored set by a different maker (available separately).
They work great for all kinds of smokes.  Will hold a cigar, cigarette or smaller.  The maker used a hand-tool to finish the protruding wings which elongate the rests. Deep rests and a deep bowl helps keep the mess contained.
Stack away for storage or use as candleholder, incense burner, flower vase or catch-all when not in ash service.
Large ashtray weighs 1 lb and measures 5.25" wide, 2.5" tall. The upper ashtray weighs 3/4 lb and measures 4.25" wide and 2" tall.  Both in excellent condition.
