Rare set of three Viking Art Glass stacking ashtrays

Shown in Viking's 1956 catalog.

Nearly 60 years old and they look like new. The large and small ashtrays are in excellent condition.  The medium-sized ashtray has one tiny invisible inner edge rim nick.

Glass is clean and brilliant.  No scratches.  Fat, flattish rests accomodate all size of smokes.  Perfect for incense and candles too.

Viking part no. 981/2/3 "3-pc. Ashtray Set" in a light emerald green.

Ashtrays weigh a total of 5 lbs together. Large ashtray weighs 3 lbs by itself and measures 8" round and 1.5" deep. Medium ashtray weighs 1.5 lbs and is 6" round, 1.25" deep.  Small ashtray weighs 1/2 lb and is 4" round, 1" deep.

Rarely seen as a set, these hefty and beautiful glass ashtrays were produced for only a couple of years.
