Elegant Depression crystal ashtray set

SOLD   Beautiful set of 3 vintage elegant art glass ashtrays.

Made by Fostoria Glass Co. Circa 1938-1944. Spool Pattern #2550. All in excellent condition. Thick, seamless crystal glass. This is Depression era crystal made with Manganese, a mineral used to replace lead during the war.  Manganese glows lime-green under blacklight. Large blue ashtray has good bottom wear to show age. Blue ashtray measures 5.5" wide with four cigarette-sized rests.  Clear ashtray measures 4.25" wide with three rests.  Small yellow ashtray measures 3.25" wide with four rests. Looks great stacked.  Multiple uses; smoking, incense, candleholders. Note: always remove metal parts from candles before using in vintage glass. Fostoria sold these as a set of three in blue, amber and crystal colors. Rare to find the set still together and unharmed after 60+ years.
