Higgins HUGE stopwatch vintage mod cigar ashtray

Huge mid-century art glass ashtray by fabulous Higgins glass.

The gold Higgins signature dates this fabulous mod ashtray to between 1957-1964. Higgins art glass was popular among the very mod beatniks of the late 1950s to early 1960s. Michael Higgins passed on in 1999, Frances Higgins in 2004.

This is a very large, coffee table-sized ashtray.  Measures 14" long,  9.75" wide and 2" deep.  They made these in different sizes.  This is the largest we've seen.

Highly collectible pop-art glass.  Higgins design and decor was cutting-edge modernism. In excellent condition.  Looks as new.

The clock faces were done in enamel with an extra layer of glass atop the enamel which raises them above the surface slightly.  The enamel will never wear because of the second layer of glass.  The real gold paint in on the surface and is 99% present.
