Mid-century retro mod cigar ashtray

Groovy organic decor from the mid-20th century. SOLD

Signed art pottery.  The artist wrote his name while the clay was wet on the seat.  The glaze has obscured the signature and it is impossible to read.

Beautiful artwork.  The multi-color raised decor has a rough surface.  The body is glossy smooth shades of forest green.

Has eight rests, large enough to rest cigars.  The cigar in the image is 6".

Big ashtray measures 8.25" x 8.25" x 1.5" tall.

Estimated circa 1960s.  Open circle on the base used to have a plug.  No chips or cracks.  The green glossy glaze has aged and shows some crazing (tiny lines form on the surface of the glaze from aging).  The green glaze also has some iridescent reflections caused by aging.

Stunning relic from the days of Peace and Love.
