Eames styling retro tri-corner multi ashtray

Leave it to the quality and function designers of the 1950s to develop an ashtray that pleases everyone.  From to cigars to thin little smokes, this ashtray has room for plenty.

Nice deep bowl to contain the mess.   Perfect retro modern styling, with real gold splatter, enhances retro-modern decor.  Offers four positions for cigars, and has eight smaller rests.

What a beauty. Images were shot under hot lighting and the turquoise color is shown brighter and deeper than actual. The actual color is the same tone, but lighter by a few shades.

This ashtray is marked by the maker on the base underneath the glaze.  It is cannot be read.  Notice the three tick marks in the center of the base in image 2.  These are indications of at least vintage pottery, made the old-fashioned way.  The style, form and ingenuity, together with the tick marks point strongly to the late 1940s to early 1950s.

The gold spatter is 100% - not worn at all.  The glaze is smooth, shiny and uncrazed.  One small rub mark at the outer tip of cigar rest (second from the left).

Each of the three sides measure 8" long, stands 1.5" tall.
