Pink flamingo vintage pottery ashtray

SOLD An original vintage Pink Flamingo with pond ashtray.

What a wonder.  It's incredibly difficult for pink flamingo collectors to find these 1940s - 1950s American made figurines.  This one is an ashtray - we've never seen like it before.  Rare item.

It's in excellent condition and we doubt if it was ever used as an ashtray.  Could have been used as a pin tray.  Great for those small smokes.

The glaze is perfect and the color shines with original brilliance.  There are no useage scratches or unwanted marks of any kind. Some expected bottom-wear, see image 4.  Also seen in image 4 are three tick marks, indicating its old age (old method of holding pottery while in the furnace).  The hole you see in image 4 is original from the maker.  It is beneath the glaze and we have no idea why it's there.  It is not damage.

This rare bird measures 5.5" tall, 6.5" long and 6" at widest.
