Popular modernist era clam shell form in translucent smoked black/moss green.
In fair condition. 50 year old ashtray has light useage marks that can be seen when held to light. On the top ridge are a few shallow bump marks probably caused by pipe tapping. On one side there are two round old impact marks. The impact areas are visible but do not affect the integrity of the very thick glass. This item is priced accordingly.
Heavy glass, weighs 2.5 lbs, measures 6" long, 5" wide and 2.25" tall.
Etched Per Lutken signature (see image 5) marked 1960. Hard to read because of heavy bottom-wear (occurs naturally with age from years of surface contact). Lutken worked for Holmegaard (Denmark) from 1942 to 1998.
Supports cigars and smaller smokes. Nice deep bowl.
Glass is blown from mold with heat finishing by hand and polished base.
