Engraved seaside decor on vintage walnut

Unused American-made ashtray from the 1970s.

Laser engraved with seaside decor.  One side has an intricate wharf scene, the other a lighthouse scene.

Never used.  Retains "Solid American Walnut" sticker and Lasercraft brochure (images 3 & 4) which begins "This item was created using a revolutionary new art form called Laser Engraving.."  The brochure goes on to explain the laser engraving process.

Lasers were invented in 1960.  The many uses for lasers followed, including decorative uses.

In excellent, like-new condition.  The laser art is very detailed, the closer you look the more interesting things you find.

The glass ashtray is 1.5" deep.  The walnut holder is 4.5" square and 1.75" tall.  Base is covered with felt.
