Elegant antique standing ashtray with peach slag glass in well-preserved condition.

Art Nouveau decor with trailing foliage on solid metal base. Connected with warm peach slag glass balusters and topped with a metal handled tray holding a matching glass ashtray. Super condition, beautiful.

The glass is opaque and marbelized, called 'slag glass'.  The removable ashtray, and center baluster, are in perfect condition.  The lower slag glass connector has a small, rounded surface pressure chip near the metal.  It is invisible unless studied closely.

The metal base is in excellent condition .  A discreet scratch test revealed that the metal is not plated.  It's in beautiful, non-tarnished condition. However the tray, which cradles the removable glass ashtray, is plated and is also in great condition with the exception of a couple of wear marks on the inner base where the base of the ashtray sits (underneath the ashtray).

It is heavy and sturdy.  The 8" round, 2 lb slag glass ashtray has four large rests and will accomodate cigars. Perfect for the entry, smoking parlor, or upscale outdoor smoking area.  This ashtray should not be left outdoors and has a sturdy handle for ease in moving locations.

One of the nicest we've seen.  Stands 28" tall to tip of handle.  Weighs 14 lbs. No manufacturer markings.  Estimated circa 1910 - 1940.
