  • Made by American glassmaker MacBeth-Evans / U.S. Glass Co. in 1929 to 1937. US Glass Co. catalog number M-9610.
  • Glass recipe used Uranium to achieve the light green color, often referred to as 'Vaseline Glass'.  Under black-light, the color reflects bright neon green.
  • Very hard to find.  This light-weight Depression glass ashtray is approx. 80 years old and most of its kind have been destroyed by now.  It's in very good shape.  The glass is clean, brilliant and free of scratches or cracks.  The only sign of age and use is very tiny chiggers on the inside sharp edge, probably caused by pipe-tapping.  The chiggers are invisible to the eye, but can be easily detected by running a finger around the inner rim.
  • Very functional ashtray with four level 'leaf' shaped rests on wide rims and a deep rounded bowl.
  • Measures 4½" round and 1.25" tall.
