  • Retro Nova 'Boopie' large ashtray with golf art by Gary Patterson, a famed American cartoonist since the 1960s. He is best know for his 'Thought Factory' cartoons on glass tumblers made by Anchor Hocking.
  • This is the first Boopie tray we've seen with his artwork.  In fact, this is the first 'In the Rough' golfing cartoon by Patterson we've seen.  It is extremely detailed.  See image 3 for a closeup of 'In the Rough', a spooky golfing experience.
  • The Boopie tray was made by Anchor Hocking in the 1970s.  Anchor Hocking called this pattern Nova, and it features their 'boopie' style ball decor seen in varying sizes on other AH items.
  • In great condition with only a few nearly invisible pin holes on the artwork (can only be seen if held to the light and examined closely).
  • Substantial weighted glass weighs 2½ lbs.  Measures 7½" round and 1½" tall.
  • Rests located between each ball will balance cigars to cigarettes or smaller. Also nice as jewerly/coin catch, candle holder and incense burner.   Shown in images below with a set of iridescent blue Boopies available separately.
