Flow Blue Villeroy & Boch Junk Ship Ashtray from the 1950s

Scarce ceramic ashtray marked 'Villeroy & Bosh, Mattelach, Made in France - Saar Economic Union'. Saarland was named after the Saar River, an area Germany. After WWII, the state was forcibly made a protectorate by the victorious allies.  It was held in the French protectorate from 1947 to 1956.  This ashtray was made between 1947 and 1956. It has a pattern name on the lower part of the maker's mark, but can't make out the words.  Looks like "Fandgaralt".  The Flow Blue decor, called 'Strasbourg Bleu' is of a Chinese Junk ship. In like-new condition. Three wide, flat rests can accomodate cigars and smaller smokes.  Measures 5½" round, 1½" tall.
