Stunning jewel-like ashtray hand-made during the mid 20th Century. This huge deep cigar bowl ashtray weighs 5 lbs. Big cigar shown below is 6″ long. Will accommodate the largest smokes to the smallest smokes. Heavy weight and deep bowl make this a great ashtray for parties or outdoors because it stays put and has a deep well to contain the ashes. Can double as a candle holder, incense burner, catch-all, etc when not in ash service. Note: always bring vintage glass indoors during bad weather.
It’s thick walls are full of tiny well-formed concentric controlled bubbles. Hand blown by a skilled glass artist. May be an early (1940s-1950s) Blenko Art Glass piece, or possibly by Erickson (Swedish glass maker who moved to America in the 1940s).
Breathtaking true emerald color. Measures 7″ round, 3½” tall and weighs 5 lbs. Pontil mark is polished to a half moon and seat ring is polished flat.
