Laugh-In Sock it to Me Smoking Accessory 1960s Iconic Hippy

$65.00

In stock

We’re laughing just thinking about it. Remember the ‘Laugh-in’ T.V. program? You are showing your age if you do.

According to Wikipedia…

  • “Sock it to me!” experienced its greatest exposure on Laugh-In although the phrase had been featured in songs such as Aretha Franklin‘s 1967 “Respect” and Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels‘ 1966 “Sock It To Me, Baby!”

The hippy folks of the late 1960’s to early 1970’s loved fat, loopy, carefree lettering, a font style as iconic as the era. The lettering on this object was fired on in lavender enamel and looks as fresh as the day it was done. The bottle paraphernalia dish has never been used, looks brand new, and still retains it’s original faded label from Houze Art (U.S.A.). Houze was a prolific maker of novelty glass, no longer in business.

The dark brown glass bottle was mold blown then hand-tooled into shape. It can be used and remain preserved. The opening of the bottle neck can hold pokers or incense sticks. The bowl can hold shake tobacco or other items. Never put liquid inside the bottle.

Approx. 55 years old. Well-preserved relic from the days of Peace and Love.  Something for your favorite hippy whose memory of Laugh-In is still intact!
