Cased glass ashtray dish with cane and aventurine decor.
1950s hand-blown Murano glass multi-use bowl. Wide level rim accommodates all kinds of smokes, small and large. Also makes a nice candle holder and incense burner.
Lattimo is Italian for “white” glass. This festive bowl was made with lattimo glass decorated with copper aventurine and cane encased in clear. Base is polished flat with heavy to medium bottom-wear (caused by surface contact accumulated over 50 years or so). Rims are hand pinched with glass makers tool and heat-finished
Glass is in excellent condition. Has a few trapped air bubbles common in vintage blown glass. Measures 8″ long, 7″ at widest and 1.75″ deep.
