Description
1930’s Elephant Pincherette with snuffer tube…rare.
For cigarettes and smaller smokes the hard to find elephants with snuffer Pincherette ashtray from 1930’s is both useful, stylish and collectible.
A series of these artsy ashtrays featuring animals as cigarette rests were made in the U.S.A. during the Art Deco period. Made by Hamilton, a leader in the era’s new metal treatment called “Chrome”.
The elephant trunks will secure cigarettes and smaller smokes well above the ash bowl surface allowing for even burning. Between the elephant is a tube snuffer to extinguish your smoke.
It is in very good condition. Just a couple tiny scratches on the surface which you must study closely to see. The base cork covering is about 50%. The elephants are perfect, like-new. The base holding the elephants and snuffer was colored black and there is a bit of color loss on the base. No corrosion.
Marked “A Hamilton Product Reg.US.Pat Made in the U.S.A.” on the base. Measures 6″ round. Image 4 shows this elephant Pincherette with an alligator Pincherette (click to view).
