Exquisite vintage Venetian glass cigar bowl with concentric bubbles and gold filled ruffled rim.
Hand-made in early to mid 20th Century Italy. Amber glass blown into a vertical ridge mold then formed by hand-tool. Concentric trapped bubbles expertly placed by the artisan. The crystal rim was filled with gold flecks and applied by hand.
Back in the day many forms were designed with dual purposes. This beautiful bowl works well as a cigar bowl and can be used for candy, etc. or flowers or candles when not in ash service.
Big heart or comma shaped Venetian glass bowl measures 7½” at longest and 6¾” at widest. Stands 2¼” tall. Nice deep bowl to catch and retain the debris — or hold your special goodies.
In excellent condition. Weighs 1¼ lbs.
