Super scarce color and decor on this massive art glass ashtray.
Stunning – HUGE – party ashtray in like-new condition. Measures 10½” wide and 2″ tall. Weighs just over 6 lbs. Has 6 smoke rests with 3 sets of 2 rests side by side. Will rest cigars, cigarettes and smaller.
This color looks a bit like Blenko’s Sea Green but it isn’t. It is Uranium glass (also known as vaseline glass). Uranium is used to achieve the green color. The glass lights up like bright green neon under blacklight.
Mesmerizing 3-dimensional peaks and valleys pattern. Some of the ‘peaks’ are utilized as feet, elevating the ashtray above the surface. The ash bowl surface is smooth with smooth valleys where the peaks jut out on the base. These smooth ‘valleys’ make perfect butt-smashers. The ashtray has a Blenko sticker. This ‘Block B’ sticker was designed by John Nickerson and used from 1982 to 1999.
