Bohemian vintage fine cut & etched heavy crystal, perfect for your fancy butts.
This ashtray has been identified as a German Democratic Republic “Lausitzer”, 24% lead oxide hand cut crystal.
The Soviet occupied German Democratic Republic (East Germany) existed from 1949 to 1990. It ceased to exist after the fall of the Berlin Wall.
A whirling hobstar is cut on the base with an etched Bohemian star in the center. On the sides are cut diamonds with etched lines and cut fans. The top edge is fringed with cut slim ovals and beveled on inner edge. Beautiful clear, shiny crystal in excellent condition.
Weighs 2 lbs, measures 5″ wide, 1.75 tall. Rests are sized for cigarettes or cigars.
