Art Deco era wrought iron ashtray.
This standing ashtray is a fabulous mix of Art Deco, Art Nouveau and Arts & Crafts era. The slim Wolfhound is an art deco icon. The wrought iron, hand-hammered metal ashtray and Celtic style decor on the pole ar Arts and Crafts era icons. The base is an Art Nouveau flower form.
The mixture of era decor styles dates this beauty to around 1910-1920. Although it is a bit nouveau, and a bit deco, it’s overall decor points to the Arts and Crafts era. The Arts and Crafts era occurred between Art Nouveau and Art Deco.
Holds a cigar properly, but sized for all types of smokes. Stands 27.5″ tall
