Fabulous chunky Blenko colorless glass ashtray. Blenko Art Glass part no. 698. Made in 1969.
Measures 9.5″ long, 6″ wide, 2″ deep. Three and a half pounds of solid glass. Stays put, can’t get pushed around. Blenko glass is known for it’s heavy stained glass type texture.
Perfect for parties and outside areas. Accommodates cigars, all types of smokes. Long, thin rests are 2″ long and .75″ deep. Large flat ledges. Cradles cigars, even the fat ones, and all the smaller smokes. Great for incense and candles (never use candles with metal in old glass). Deep basin traps the debris. Pressed waffle pattern is raised on the base and smooth on the inside, with inner portion of waffles slightly concave on the surface. Concave areas on ash surface are useful in extinguishing smokes.
