Old world Victorian cut and etched crystal cigar-sized ashtray.
Truly a work of art. High quality crystal. The crosshatched etched areas are called “Strawberries”. The strawberries are interlaced with the cut decor and it gives it a “web” effect. Hobstars with daisies in the center are framed by stylized fans. Beautiful Victorian decor.
It is not new. We do not know the maker, but will guarantee it was made by a high quality crystal artist of the past. The decor points to early 1900’s. Inner edge is beveled. Cuts are deep, 3/8″. Weighs 2.5 lbs, measures 6 1/8″ wide by 2″ tall.
