Mid-Century Modern Ashtray in Ruby Glass

Unique Ruby Glass Mid-Century Modern Hand-Made Ashtray

Thick, luscious mid-century modern ashtray hand-formed by Viking Art Glass, circa 1950's to 1960's. Stunning vintage ruby glass glitters like a real jewel.

We have not found a documented part no. for this ashtray. It matches Viking's oval #1110 (appeared in 1962 catalog), BUT it has a stylized multi-foot base. It is a variance made during the hand forming process. The glass maker used a hand tool to form the stylistic feet.

This mid-century modern ashtray is in excellent condition. Measures 8.5″ long, 4 7/8″ wide and 1.25″ tall. Weighs 2 lbs. Cigar shown is 5″ long. Nice for cigars or smaller smokes. Great for incense and candles too (always remove metal on modern candles before using with vintage glass).

Glass is free of inclusions, quality glass. Color lightens and darkens with the thickness of the glass. Beautiful deep ruby color.
