It was cut and polished by hand. Produced in the late 1920's to mid 1930's. This form was designed by Heinrich Hoffmann, a German (Czech) mold-maker and proprietor of a bead shop in Paris in the 1920's. While in Paris, Hoffmann met a gentlemen named Rene Lalique (today Lalique's art glass sells at the extreme high-end). Hoffmann's association with Lalique influenced his jewel-like crystal forms and other glass works.
