After WWII countries were required to mark their production with the country of origin. German pottery was usually marked W. Germany or E. Germany. Before the war, the country was united and pottery was usually marked 'Germany', if marked at all. There are exceptions.

Each measure 6.5″ long, 3.75″ at widest and 2″ tall. They are mid-size, perfect for end-tables. Sports two cigar size rests with a deep bowl. Perfect for smaller smokes too.

The glaze is in very good condition for its age. Looking closely, you will see the fine tell-tale craze lines of vintage glaze. This naturally happens to glaze after years and years of exposure to the elements. The only visible craze line, without examining closely, is on the base which you can see in the image. It is not a crack, it is a result of the glaze crazing. There are no chips or cracks.
