This ashtray has been previously identified as a Tiffin/US Glass Form. Regal Plum color lightens and darkens with the thickness of glass.

These ashtrays were discovered together. On the left is a verified Tiffin form, on the right a rare King's Crown ashtray in the exact same deep amethyst color.

Ashtrays made by Tiffin just before U.S. Glass went into Bankruptsy. Plum ashtray on left is verified Tiffin, King's Crown ashtray on right was also made by Tiffin in 1961.

Mid-20th Century Tiffin elegant amethyst crystal ashtray. High quality vintage colored crystal. Circa early 1960’s.

This amethyst color was called ‘Plum’, a regal jewel-like purple that lightens and darkens with the thickness of the glass. The pattern is known to Tiffin collectors as Clover.

Large vintage colored crystal ashtray measures 6.25″ round, 1¾” tall, and weighs two pounds. Has four 1½” long, ¾” wide ramp cradle rests to hold the smokes well above the ash receiving surface. Rests are sized for cigars but appropriate for all size smokes.

In excellent condition. Glass is clean, bright and sparkling like a jewel. Sharp corners are undamaged.
