The Blenko bubble ashtray is shown in old Blenko catalogs as part no. 508. The part number indicates the form was designed in the early 1950's before Blenko's part number dating system.
Beautiful Blenko Art Glass ashtray well-made with in vintage glass with controlled trapped air bubble decor. Warm honey amber glass color goes well with any color scheme.
Blenko Art Glass left a 'soft' pontil scar on most of their creations. A pontil scar is the area where the glassblower's pontil rod was disconnected from the form. The scar was heated to leave the familiar and unique Blenko 'soft' pontil mark.
Design created by the one of Blenko Art Glass' early designers, Wayne Husted who worked with Blenko between 1953 and 1963.

Blenko Art Glass mid-century big bubble ashtray designed by Blenko’s Wayne Husted.

The Blenko bubble ashtray is shown in old Blenko catalogs as part no. 452. The part number indicates the form was designed in the early 1950’s before Blenko’s part number dating system. Design created by the one of Blenko Art Glass’ early designers, Wayne Husted who worked with Blenko between 1953 and 1963.

Beautiful thick, well-made vintage glass with controlled trapped air bubble decor. Warm honey amber glass color goes well with any color scheme.

Hand-blown with soft inverted pontil mark on the seat. Blenko Art Glass glassblowers left a ‘soft’ pontil scar on most of their creations. A pontil scar is the area where the glassblower’s pontil rod was disconnected from the form. The scar was heated to leave the familiar and unique Blenko ‘soft’ pontil mark.

Big Blenko bubble ashtray measures 6½″ round, 2¾″ tall and weighs 2.10 lbs. Three hand-formed rests hold your smoke well above the deep and ample bowl. In like-new condition.
