Blenko Glass cigar ashtray in light tobacco colored vintage handmade glass.
Blenko Art Glass, one of the Fab Five glass studios in Mid-20th Century U.S.A., made their glass objects by hand. Beautiful vintage made jonquil glass was poured into a clay or wood mold in the form of the lava ridged base. The surface was hand-polished smooth and the long rests were made with hand-tool.
This ashtray is in excellent condition, like new. Stands on three pointed little feet keeping it above the surface, helping prevent bottom wear and water damage. Two long cradle smoke rests with a wide ledge. Large polished rim helps balance your smokes. Accommodates cigars to small smokes, incense sticks, pipe resting and could be a candle holder when not in ash service.
Made in 1959 to 1970. Blenko Art Glass catalog part number 756. (or 693 without feet) . Measures 7″ long, 6″ wide, 1.75″ tall. Weighs 2½ lbs.
