Quality glass lidded box was a gift for Salvation Army special donors.
Great box for stashing all kinds of things. It is perfectly sized for cigarettes. 4.75″ x 3.5″ rectangle. Stands 2.5″ tall.
The banner reads “The Salvation Army – Friends of the Army”. We found no history nor mention of this box in our research.
Maker and age unknown. It could be new or old with the absence of bottom-wear which is an indicator of age. Either way, it’s very collectible, useful and tasteful. Anything box is perfect for all stashes, it would even make a great jelly-bean box. Thick-walled quality glass weighs 2 lbs.
In excellent condition. Notice the ashtray has dual-size for both cigars and cigarettes.
