Unused Hippie era party ashtray with smart features for all types of smoking.
This vintage Hippie era party ashtray and muddler set was imported from Italy to the United States in the 1960’s by an importing company called Balboa. The label is still pristine and intact in the center of the ash receiver. This set was never used.
Designed to accommodate the smoker’s every need. Four medium-size cradle rests float your smoke 1¾” above the ash receiver. Four small balls near each rest provide an easy roll-off of ash. The clear glass hand-formed glass grinder will assist in grinding if needed. Can accommodate pipe resting too.
Vintage electric green glass was blown into mold, then the rests were finished by hand. No seams, hand-polished. The glass glows slightly under black-light indicating the use of Manganese instead of lead, a common substitution used in Italian glass recipes from WWII to the 1960’s.
Utility ashtray measures 7″ x 5½”. Glass grinder is 4″ long.
