Luxurious handmade mid-20th century Italian glass cigar bowl in fire red with swirls of aventurine.
Deep bowl with four hand-formed rests. Cased glass with Lattimo (opaque white) outer casing. The camera cannot image the brilliance of the aventurine (tiny bits of reflective metals within the blown glass). It glitters much more than revealed in images.
Large and heavy. Weighs 2.4 lbs. Measures 8″ wide and 3″ tall. Hand polished level base. Deep and ample receiving bowl retains the mess, can’t get knocked around easily.
Eye-catching ashtray great for cigar smokers and works well for smaller smokes and pipe resting. Made by Italian glass artist of talent, estimated circa 1960-1970. It is in the style of Barbini, actual maker unknown. In excellent condition.
