Description
The Mason maker signed his name ‘C Dodson’ on the bases.
Pair of white porcelain Masonic emblem ashtrays. Handmade with bone white glaze and Mason symbols in gold and blue. These appear to be from the 1950s, could be older or younger. We looked up C Dodson and found the Dodson family are Mason members dating back to the 1800s.
The large ashtray measures 8½” square and has very light wear on the emblem. The smaller measures a bit over 6″ square and the emblem is like new. The glaze on both is perfect. No chips or cracks. Each ashtray has six long and flat rests.
Items shown in the Big Ashtray Museum are not for sale. Big Ashtray offers a large selection of antique, vintage and retro art ashtrays, plus modern-made ashtrays, for sale in the Big Ashtray shop. Click here to view available items…
