Description
Beautiful mid-century modern art glass ashtray by Zelezny Brod Glassworks, located in the former Czechoslovakia in the 1960’s.
Exotic free-form sculpture ashtray handmade of high quality glass. Probably designed by the infamous Miloslav Klinger who is credited for most of the Mid-20th Century forms produced by the Zelezney Brod glasshouse.
The thick fluid-like glass reflects the colors throughout the ashtray creating a mesmerizing effect. Just above the base is an inverted triangle of dark glass. Floating above it, and serving as the ash surface, is a cranberry, canary and lime bubble.
Made by hand of high quality vintage crystal. Measures 7″ long, 3″ wide and 2½” tall. Weighs just under 2 lbs. Remnant of original Bohemia Glass remains.
There are two 1″ long level rests. Can accommodate cigars (cigar shown is 5″ long), cigarettes. Also works well as a pipe rest. Use as decor or flower bowl when not in ash service.
