Set of two ship and anchor nautical decor cigar sized ashtrays.
Classy nautical decor glass ashtray set. Matching pair of big chunky mid-20th century vintage ice block ashtrays. The thick textured glass looks like chunks off an iceberg. The glass has a slight tint of blue, like and iceberg. One features an anchor, the other a sailing ship. Heavy ashtrays weigh nearly 5 pounds each. Perfect for the beach home deck, patio, pool area or the grotto man cave.
Both are in like-new condition. The Nordic countries, Scandinavian regions, are well-known for their nature inspired art glass of the mid-20th century. The molten glass was poured into hand carved wood or clay molds to achieve the deep texture and stylized ship and anchor decor. They are unsigned. Circa estimated 1950’s to 1960’s.
The measure 5.75″ square, 2.5″ tall. Total weight 9.8 lbs! Rare to discover as a set and in like-new condition.
