Hard to find Anchor Hocking Swedish Modern lustre ashtray from the 1970s.
Made by Anchor Hocking, part no. 152/6460, listed in 1970 catalog. The organic, nature inspired, ‘Swedish Modern’ decor style was made popular in the mid-20th Century by glass artists in Sweden. Good mid-size ashtray with deep bowl and three rests for cigarettes or smaller.
The rests vary in length and are deep, giving good support. Blue and light amethyst colors shimmer with gold reflections in the light. Measures 7″ long, 1½” tall and 5″ at widest. Weighs just over 1 lb.
