Vintage Navy collectible cigar or cigarette ashtray.
The Kitty Hawk (CVA-63) was built by the New York Ship Building Corp. in Camden, N.J. It was completed in December 1956 and launched on the 21st ofg May 1960 at Philadelphia Naval Shipyard with Captain William F. Bringle in command. Image #3 is a picture of the Kitty Hawk CA-63 Naval Aircraft Carrier. This ship is still in use today.
This ashtray was made during the 1960s and kept as a memento of a visit, or service. The maker “Mil Ceram-Co” no longer makes ashtrays for the military. Measures 7.25″ x 7.25″. Total of 9 rests, large enough for cigars.
